Bill,
I haven't had a Pallidotomy, but I became very compulsive/obsessive when
I was taking Permax.  I didn't gamble, I simply rearranged silk flowers
till the wee hours of the morning...until I killed them.  I just
couldn't get them to look right, over and over again.  I didn't realize
it was the Permax (Pergolide) until I stopped taking it and started
something else.  I believe most of these meds have the possibility of
psychiatric side effects--they just affect everyone differently.
