Re: The new "trendy disease"/Michael J. Fox
Judith.....
I think this is another case of "If ya don't laugh, you cry." I
seriously doubt there's anyone out there who doesn't think it a
tragedy that a fine young man like Michael J. Fox has a chronic
degenerative neurological disease.
It's a tragedy when ANYONE is forced to live with this steeeeeenkin'
disease.
But please keep in mind that there's times when we use humor.... EVEN
joke about Parkinson's upon occasion.... as an outlet for our pain,
and we DO feel better when we can laugh about something.
And 'sides, one thing about this group that THIS group has is an
ourageous collective sense of humor. Let's face it - ain't nothing
sacred if we can find something funny in it, especially when ya look
at the alternative!
Personally, I laughed myself silly while reading Stephan's post! Yet
I still ache for the Fox family.

Stephen,
I'm sure you intended no harm, and I *try* not to be critical
of
anything posted to the list, but somehow your post doesn't seem
appropriate. My heart goes out to Michael J. Fox and his family...his
very young family.
