I find that if I wash my face with soap and water as hot as I can stand, apply
shaving cream, then brush my teeth while I wait for it to soak in, by the time
I actually shave, it goes much smoother, and I rarely cut myself.  My son uses
a non-fogging mirror and shaves in the shower, which he prefers.  Hope that
helps.
