Bob,
For Wilson's (a copper storage disease) chelation is the treatment of choice.
It rids the body of at least some of the ingested copper.  Interestingly, the
symptoms of Wilson's can mimic PD and is something for which a thorough workup
for PD should check.

However, used for PD, it is indeed quackery.
