NON-PD : FDIC banking rule is real
Friends--Thanks to Gail Vass I have looked at this site, which gives a
summary of the FDIC "Know Your Customer" proposed rule for banks. This is
indeed real, and no urban legend--and sounds like a dangerous invasion of
privacy. While I still question the effectiveness of internet petitions
(and never could get into the site where the petition is located) I intend
to inform my Congressman about it, and respond directly to the FDIC also.
Thanks to Rob and Janet MacDonald and to Gail and her sis, for bringing it
to our attention, Here's the site with the summary of the proposed rule:
