okay patricia and willie

i'm sharing this with the list membership
not to embarass you
but to encourage all who may be a tad intimidated by computers etc

we need to fix a couple of things

first though

     SET PARKINSN NOMAIL

is absolutely correct!

but it needs to go into the message 'body' area
right here where i am typing,
and not in the 'subject header', which is where you put it
[you can just copy it into the 'body' area;
the listserv computer does not even look at the 'subject header']

second,
your 'command' message needs to be sent to the listserv computer address
and not to the parkinsn list membership which is the address you used,
so change the 'to' address from:

     PARKINSN@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

to this instead:

     LISTSERV@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

and now you should be cooking with gas!
