Re: Good Docs

Hi Joni....

I live in L.A. and have had PD for almost 25 years. Since I am a
moderator if a PD support group (located at Encino Hospital, and
meeting the 3rd Saturday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m.), I have
had the opportunity to meet a buncha neurologists, neurosurgeons,
and neuros who are movement disorder specialists, as I often have
them as guest speakers for my group.

Just tell me what part of the L.A. area you're willing (or able)
to drive to or get transpiration to,
and chances are I can refer you to a coupla-three respected
physicians.

I would definitely start off with a movement disorder specialist,
especially if you've never been seen by one yet, or if it's been a
number of years since you've been to one.

By the way, I included the location and the day/time my support
group meets (hint hint) jjuuuuust in case you're looking for a
warm, caring, and thoughtful group of folks who share many common
experiences. I can also refer you to other fine L.A. based PD
support groups, if you're interested.

'Nother "By the way": my support group meets with members of
another Valley based support group the first Saturday of each
month for dinner at local eateries.. We're meeting this coming
Saturday at LuLu's Restaurant in Van Nuys (16900 Roscoe Blvd..,
100 feet east of Balboa Blvd.). PLEASE feel free to join us! We
usually have from 12 to 25 people attending these "no host"
events.

Errrrrr.... I kinda got carried away here, didn't I <blush>
