3 questions for Dad
I am going to visit Dad, my darling PWP, in Florida soon.
1) Anything special to consider when buying a cane?
2) Does anyone have a vibrating chair and if so does it help?
If yes --- any advice in the purchase of one?
3) Dad's stomach was surgically removed over 20 years ago.
Apparently this has happened to a lot of people. As the stomach
is where the proteins are broken down in to amino acids, I wonder
if the Sinemet - which is made of amino acids -- is being utilized /
absorbed / assimilated. I have an appointment with his gastroenterologist
to ask him this (I am taking him for a reassessment at the National
Parkinson Foundation satellite location and asked them this question but
they are not sure and so I have to go to another MD).
Any insights on this one? If not, I'll wait until I speak w his MD.
It is frustrating to go from body part shop to body part shop and not
be able to get all my questions answered in one place.
Thanks folks.
By the way, I felt privileged and honored to be allowed to help out
at the Unity walk in Toronto on Sunday. What a totally remarkable group of
people.
