Nita et al, The exact amount of funds allocated or spent by the NIH on Parkinson's research is currently being disputed. It is recommended that we focus instead on securing the additional funds of $ 75 million in "Parkinson's focused research" over and above the amount previously allocated. I called Senator Specter office this am. No sense calling or writing the Texas senators anymore. No earmark, but one did or said she wanted to double the NIH budget. I have told her health aide that it should be OK to tell the NIH what to research ( just not how ) because he kept telling me how great they are etc. I s there anyway we can find out how who voted?
