Re: Tips
Thanks Dennis.... And to add to your "What not to do" tip list is another "what not to do: Don't walk around wearing bi-focal glasses (No matter how poor your vision is). When walking while wearing bi-focals, the PD-eyes usually can't make the immediate transition needed to go from the near-to-far-and-back-again repeatedly while simultaneously walking. In other words, you eyes and brain aren't working in tandem, you end up with poorer coordination and exacerbated balance problems. If'n ya wanna have a quick trip to the emergency hospital, walking while wearing bi-focals is the way to go! (This was told to me by an opthamologist, and since I didn't pay any attention, I learned it the HARD way. <GROAN> Barb Mallut barb-msn@xxxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: Dennis Nestler <DNestler@xxxxxxx> To: PARKINSN@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <PARKINSN@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thursday, October 14, 1999 7:35 AM Subject: Re: Tips >Hi Barb, >This is a tip on what not to do.
