i'm delighted to hear of your delight!

leavers all have their individual reasons:
no time
i wanted only 'supportive' emotional contact
new computer
no computer
don't want so much info
i hate janet's jokes
my pd was misdiagnosed
too much too soon go away
i was doing a thesis for university and it's done
i'm coping very well thank you
too tired right now i'll come back later
i signed on to sell supplements - heck you guys are too sharp
my isp died
i wanted only medical information
i joined to help a relative - relative died
i wanted to join a chat line
i didn't want to join a chat line
my computer was stolen
hoo-boy! i didn't expect this much volume
my phone line was cut off
i didn't realize what this list was about
i wanted only political fund raising info
i'm too busy
i only check in with the gang once or twice a  year
i'm a cg - i prefer the other list

all the above is my shot at a tongue-in-cheek best-guess

however,
i am sure of one thing
the individual reasons are as unique as the individuals

by listserv standards
we are a fairly big and busy 'support-type' list
and that kind of 'turnover' is quite normal

the overall size is approximately 1800
a net gain of 78 [thanks bonnie] over four months
extrapolates to say approx 200 over twelve months
which would be a 10% [approx] increase in size over a year...

the list has grown from 0 to 1800 in six years...
therefore... er ... E=mc2 or something like that...
