Assisted Living
When we went through the Assisted Living crisis with Gordon's Mom a
decade
ago, we discovered that there are agencies where you can look at the
paperwork of each place. This was in San Jose, Ca.if, obviously a heavily
populated area.
Also, in Calif, you cannot be put into a locked facility without a
psychiatrist's opinion. We had to have one and the Doctor called at 11
p.m.. The nurses told me he had little concept of time, always finished his
day's work, no matter what the hour and they called him "The late Dr.
Rappaport"
My sympathies on this hard time in your lives
