My Barbara also bought a reasonably priced amplifier from Radio Shack,
but the feedback was practically impossible to erase.  It also turns out
that her hearing is worse than her speech.  Ergo, the amplifier was
returned to Radio Shack, and the hearing device is sitting, and sitting
in its container waiting to be recharged and used.
