Check out Dr. Richard Penn at Mt. Sinai in NY.  He
recently moved there from Rush in Chicago where he
performed biSTN operations.  My brother was the very
firs in April of 1998.  Charlie Meyer (of this list) had
it about a year later.  Dr. Penn, IMO is an excellent
surgeon.

I have some questions for anyone who might know
something.  My mother is
comtemplating DBS surgery of the type where the
Medtronic device is the one
used, along with the bilateral implants.  Does anyone on
the list know a
neuro surgeon named Ron Alterman MD.  He is on the staff
of Beth Israel
Hospital in New York City.  All input greatly
