Thanks to Al Hirsch and DAPS for the DAPS produced tape "A STORY OF HOPE".
I'm taking mine along to view when on a trip to DC beginning l/   32000.Am
thinking it might be a good idea to give the tape to Senator Bond when we
meet in his office on 1/6/2000 along with my daughter and the health issues
staffer who I've talked with on the phone regarding Parkinson's research
funding as outlined in the Udall bill.

I'm going on temporary list "NO MAIL" and will post when I return any
pertinent information that I find about Parkinson's research at NIH, etc.
I'm starting out Y2K being visible, vocal and positive about letting people
know that people with Parkinson's need answers and we intend to keep asking
that research be stepped up to find the causes/cure/treatments for
neurological diseases.

The folks in Dallas produced one of the finest informational and support
type video tapes that I have viewed on People with Parkinson's. Jim West's
skill in the proper measurement of the ingredients of medicine, human
factors, empowerment, strength of character and personal courage, has and
will do much to remove the "Disease Ghetto" of living with Parkinson's.

As President of the Arizona Chapter of the National Parkinson Foundation,
and on behalf of our members I wish to thank all of the DAPS folks for
their contribution, and to Art Hirsch for his work in bringing this tape to
our attention.
