Volunteers Needed for Study on Coping with Parkinson's
I am looking for volunteers in the Tallahassee, FL, and San Antonio, TX, areas for a research project designed to help understand how people respond to and cope with Parkinson's disease. The results of this study may eventually help to identify ways of responding and coping that can contribute positively to life satisfaction for people dealing with Parkinson's and other major medical problems. Participation involves filling out a questionnaire and being interviewed. The questionnaire, which takes about an hour to complete, asks how Parkinson's has affected you and how you respond to having Parkinson's. The interview, conducted at time and place convenient to you, also takes about an hour. In the interview you will be asked for more information about your Parkinson's symptoms and you will be asked to expand on some of the answers given in the questionnaire. All the information you provide will be kept confidential. If you are interested in participation and live in Tallahassee or San Antonio, please return your name, phone number, postal address and e-mail address to me at amcquillen@xxxxxxxx Anita McQuillen, M.S.
