Marie Smeznik, active in Bev Steward's Udall advocacy group, is not yet on
line, so she asked me to pass along an idea to this list.   Already looking
ahead, she's started to lobby people who are running for election to
Congress.  One independent candidate is already committed to co-sponsoring
the bill if elected in November.  Also, to anyone within range of radio
station KDB 93.7 FM in Santa Barbara:  tune in tomorrow (Thursday, 7/11) to
hear Marie give a rousing 90 second appeal for the Udall bill on the
"Outlook" program, airing 10:00am-10:30am and again  at 3:00pm - 3:30pm.

Mary Yost, who'll be nearly guilt-free tomorrow after sending a check to
B.Schirloff for at least the postage for the postcards  -- Know the
feeling?
