Congressman Goodling is proposing a cut to the NIH portion of the 1997 budget to fund special education programs. If you don't want to see the NIH budget cut, call your congressperson and ask him or her to Vote No on the Goodling Ammendment to H.R. 3755 If, like me, you want to see more money for these education programs but not a cut to the NIH budget, add a comment to this effect. Add that you want your congressperson to cosponsor H.R. 1462, the Morris K. Udall Parkinson's Research and Education Act while you're on the line.
