Denise--and everyone:  to make ANY change  in your list mail status you
must write to the LISTSERV  and NOT to the list itself. If you have lost
the instructions,which came with membership, here's how to suspend--

                  listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

                  SET PARKINSN NOMAIL
                 (no name needed)
 if you need to return to the list,after a suspension
                 SET PARKINSN MAIL

 if leaving permanently,
                 SIGNOFF PARKINSN

You can also ask the LISTSERV for a brief summary of commands, if you've lost
yours--
                 the message is : HELP

or for MORE  about commands,
                 INFO REFCARD

All these requests go, of course, to the LISTSERV address:
                  listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
