Re: Reply to Barb re: PD registry
Rita.. the fellow who told me about registering his chronic disease with his state's DMV was NOT a Parkie, nor was I positive of which state it was in (as I stated in my message) The "registration" was an informal one, as I understand it... not mandatory. However, a significant number of individuals having a wide variety of chronic disorders apparently did register, and apparently they then lost their driver's permits. I haven't heard from this individual for some time, and have no idea what has since transpired. As I said in my original message tho, I have no reason to doubt him. He posted his story, as do so many others, in the forum I manage on The Microsoft Network - the Chronic Disease & Disorders Forum. And I must admit, there was sure a cry of indignation from our membership, as many of them felt more than vaguely threatened by the thought of being forced to give up their driver's license because of their respective disorders. Sorry, but there is no such list in other states yet Barb. DMV does not have access to list in NE. Rita
