Summer Fellowships
I have been asked by Dr. Maestrone of the APDA to post this announcement: APDA Medical Students Summer Fellowships The APDA Executive Committee approved the funding of six Medical Student Summer Fellowships. The APDA Summer Fellowships are designed to provide a stipend which will enable medical students to perform active supervised laboratory or clinical research designed to clarify the understanding of Parkinson's disease, its nature, manifestations, etiology, or treatment. The goal of the fellowships are to stimulate the students interest in future research in the field of Parkinson's disease and related disorders. The stipend will be in the amount of $2000, half to be paid at the outset and the balance on submission of a report of the research accomplished. Fellowship applications will be reviewed and graded by the APDA Scientific Advisory Board and approved by the Executive Committee of the Association. Deadline is December 31, 1996.
