Another possibility:  PD causes such a high level of discomfort (muscle
cramps, stiffness and pain) that you don't notice the relatively modest
symptoms of a cold.  Also, many of the drugs taken for PD have a
dehydrating effect (dry mouth, etc.) which further conceals the cold
symptoms.
