DRUGS ON U.S.MARKET
An update of the present status of drug approval and availability on the U.S. market. Pramipexole is approved but not yet available(It will be shortly). Cabergoline is available on the U.S. market under the trade name DOSTINEX, but it is not yet approved for parkinsons. The same company (Pharmacia & Upjohn) have both drugs and apparantly a decesion was made to push Pramapexole to the market first for parkinsons. this does not prohibit your doctor from using Cabergoline for parkensons if he has the dosing knowledge.
