I too have a loss of sense of smell, and attribute it to my PD.  When I
told my family physician (who is not treating me for PD) about this loss
of sense of smell he was surprised, never having come across this symptom
among his few PWP patients.
I am fortunate that this loss has NOT affected my appetite or enjoyment of
food and drink!
