FW: Over the Counter Products

Ron C....

I've taken 600 to 800 mg of ibuprofen twice daily (WITH FOOD - very important,
that) to keep a lid on the inflammation in my shoulder due to a torn rotator
cuff.

Since I've suffered with this problem for about 18 months now, I've had
cortisone injections into the shoulder joint about every 4 months or so, which
worked for about 2 months. Then I'd then begin taking that ibuprofen (per my
MD's suggestion) which worked till the next bursitis-like flare-up in the
shoulder.

I've never noticed any adverse PD symptoms or reactions while on the ibuprofen
(for what that's worth....), tho finally bit the bullet and am going to have
the rotator cuff repaired surgically <groan>.

After having a tooth extraction, I was advised by my dentist that
ibuprofin was better than aspirin or acetamenophin based painkillers, but
he had no idea if these products had any interaction with sinemet or
eldepryl. None are listed as dangerous on the drug side affects lists that
I have. I just wondered if they perhaps had a delaying or synergic affect
on my meds.

Anybody notice any thing in their experience?

                                        Thanx,

                                                Ron C.
