Generic Sinemet

Recent postings about generic Sinemet have made me wonder about its
effectiveness. I recall a private conversation with someone on this list
who detailed the ill effects of generic Sinemet.

My mother Joyce, 67/around 4 months, takes the generic version ? she has
never tried anything else. What I'm wondering is, is it worth trying
regular Sinemet to see whether the PD symptoms that remain with generic
Sinemet can be eradicated with the other version? And how does one go about
doing this? Simply replace one for the other for a certain period of time?
Has anyone tried this?

Or is it the case that the regular Sinemet probably wouldn't address the
PD symptoms better than the generic version, but rather that the generic
version can sometimes produce undesirable consequences?
