Dear Wallace -
Please accept my sympathy for your loss.
If a doctor has suggested that Janet died of "Parkinson's
Sudden Death Syndrome," perhaps the doctor was merely
describing an unexplained and unexpected death of an
apparently healthy adult.
In most States when a death occurs at home, unattended
by a doctor, an autopsy is required. Is an autopsy
scheduled for Janet? The results should be made available
to you within 24 hrs.
For Sudden Infant Death Syndrome researchers have
developed a number of potential factors leading to
laryngospasm, including apnea, positional narrowing of the
airway, respiratory inflammation, hypoxia or transitory airway
obstruction. These should all be ruled out before implicating
the symptoms of Parkinson's.
Because one can never be prepared for such a tragedy,
aggravated by the need to investigate and find a reason for
this death, you should seek the help of friends and support
group members to deal with your expected grief. Do not try
to deal with your terrible loss by yourself, there are people
who care.
     Stephan 53/7
