Hi there fellow Parkies, I just joined this list after a few tries. I was
diagnosed with Parkinson in December of 1995, spent a whole year in denial,
then went to my GP who gave me some Synemmet - 10/100. In May of this year
I started to see a Neurologist at the City of Hope in Duarte, CA. I have
been on Synemmet 25/100 and Eldepryl 5MG since. Recently I started on
Mirapex, and am currently at .50 MG 3 times a day. I feel terrific, lots of
energy, workout almost everyday, can't get much sleep, though, maybe 1 to 2
hours a night, the rest is tossing and turning and getting up to pee. The
only time my PD acts up is when put in a stressful position like having to
speak to the Public Safety Commission last Wednesday. I thought I was going
to explode from all that shaking, but other than that you could not even
tell.
Well folks, I look forward to hearing from some of you. I will probabl run
into Barbara Mallut tomorrow in Santa Monica. Keep up the spirits, and try
to maintain a good attitude.
