FYI. Dr Paul Newhouse at the University of Vermont is currently doing a
research study on the effect of nicotine on the brain in Parkinson's and
Alzheimers patients. In this study he measures a subjects
learning ability and short term memory then administers
nicotine or a placebo intravenously and does the tests again.
It is done as a double blind study.
If anyone in Vermont would like to participate I believe
he is still looking for subjects.
