I really was attempting a rather self conscious joke. Alas, my beloved son, aged 32, smokes exactly like his mama, gestures and all. As you may know, I teach. It is now against the law here in Washington to smoke on any school property. That means that I spend my lunch hour parked outside the school fence getting in my quota of vice. I'm sure I do not present a positive picture to students nor to their parents who hunt me out in my car (fondly known as the pool hall) in order to chat with me. I trust you are not too offended by my smoggy attempt at humor. Judith > >
