I want to share a disturbing experience I had with this group.
Yesterday I saw a patinet in consultation who had been told
that he had both PD and Alzheimer's (AD). He was placed on
medications for both diseases which work opposite to each other.
Also the medicine for AD has very serious side effects which
could have harmed him. After my evaluation , it was clear to me
that he only had PD with some dementia. He did not have the
features of AD. It is very hard  to make a diagnosis of both
disorders during life. I share this with you to inform you.
