The list has generated significantly more traffic lately because of the NYT article (pallidotomy), a couple of prime time "real life" dramatizations (apochrypha about pallidotomies and their success or lack thereof) and a Chicago Hope episode about a PD sufferer who has fetal tissue injected into his brain (I think that was part one last week, which ended with the needle being inserted--part 2 this week, maybe even tonight--check the TV listings). My father (age 70) diagnosed about 4 1/2 years ago, has been on the standard medications (eldepryl and sinament--not sure of the doses) with some side effects, but overall, in pretty good shape. He is still working minimum 12 hour days (I trait I have to admit to sharing), and playing a better game of golf than I ever will (but then again, I don't play). You'll find lots of info here both professional and personal. Let me know if I can get you any more info.
