Re: NINDS Seeks Newly Diagnosed Parkinson's Disease Patiets
NINDS Seeks Newly Diagnosed Parkinson's Disease Patients Investigators at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) are seeking newly diagnosed Parkinson's disease patients for a neuroprotective trial involving a new free radical scavenger drug aimed at stopping the progression of the disease. The study will be a two year outpatient trial requiring quarterly visits to the NIH in Bethesda, MD, and more frequent safety visits to a local physician. <Opinion Mode ON> I wonder how long it will take researchers to determine that Parkinson's is a disease that exists outside the beltway? Grants should also include expenses for the researchers to go to the patients where ever they may be. <Opinion Mode OFF> John Cottingham johnc@xxxxxxxxx
