Dear Mark and Allen, I have had PD for 18 years, and am now age 52. I have always exercised. In the beginning I ran, then w alked,andnowIswim.Ihavedoneweightsto maintain, not build, and I have done balance and control training, specifically balance board and walking the beam. I am convinced that my level of fitness along with the sensory awareness and control that came with the balance board and beam have made a huge difference in the progress and some degree of remission of my illness.
