Thanks for your welcome. The information coming over the transom has been
most interesting and edifiying. We are new to this--my husband, Kirt, is 51
and in early stages--his only symptoms are that he holds his arm stiffly and
doesn't swing it when he walks and his handwriting is cramped. His
neurologist put him on Sinemet to see if he responded and when he found that
he did, he took him off Sinemet and prescribed Eldypryl which he's been
taking for several months. We are really somewhat in the dark as to what
this all means and what we should expect and how fast the disease advances
and what we should look out for.

There obviously is already a great deal of mail and info on this list and I
don't want to tie up the wires with basic questions that may have already
been addressed numerous times. So my question is: Is there a FAQ file for
beginners? I have recently been diagnosed with MS and the FAQ I received
from that mailing list was quite helpful. Thanks for your assistance and for
managing such a voluminous list. It must be quite a challenge and require a
lot of time and work and I thank you for your efforts.

Amy

P.S. Is there a list of recommended specialists in Parkinson's? We live in
the Washington DC area.
