Re: Can anyone relate?

Dear David Boots,

I think that's a lot of Sinemet that your neurologist is prescribing.
After I got up to about 5 of 25/100, and the dyskenesias began to appear, my
neuro. switched me to permax and we cut way back on the Sinemet. For awhile
I had terrific dyskenesia, then after awhile I figured out how to regulate
it. Now I break up the Sinemets into crumbs, and take them when I start to
go off about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours, along with a permax. Now my daily
dosage of Sinemet is 1 1/2 to 2 a day, 8 to 6 to 10 Permax, 2 Eldepryl , and
2 Amantadine. I'm 53, and have had PD since age 35, and I"m doing fine.
If you question your doctor's judgement and can't get satisfaction, just
switch to another. I've been through at least 6 of them. Now I finally
trust one.
Hope this is helpful. Claudia Elliott
