Re: Down Side of Pallidotomy?
Before deciding to have VIM surgery, my husband, Don, did a lot of research on other PD treatments, including pallidotomy and thalamotomy. It was because of the downside effects of those two procedures that he decided on the VIM surgery. I think the three or so pages of conclusion that he wrote up for his neurologist exists only on hard copy. I would be happy to send copies to anyone who sends me an address or a fax number.
