PD & Pesticides

I just read Don Berns message to Wendy regarding the 30 yr old woman who
loved to ride behind her dad's truck containing the pesticide she like to smell.
Jeff's background warrents mentioning to 'factors' to consider when trying
to develop an idea of 'where he got PD from'.
First, Jeff grew up in an area where there were several chemical plants i.e.
Union Carbide, DuPont, FMC and so on. As a summer job during his high school
years ('64-'68) he was elated to have been hired by Union Carbide. His job ?
Cleaning out massive chemical storage tanks. Keep in mind this was pre-EPA
so there was no protective clothing or any precautions. Just Jeff (and his
coworkers) in this huge self-contained tank ladened with who-knows-what
toxins (pesticides??). Also, on certain days Union Carbide would send Jeff
out into the Kanawha River with huge nets to scoop out the dead fish after a
chemical spill. Lovely, huh?
Secondly, Jeff has PD on both maternal and paternal sides. Two paternal
uncles have had PD and one material uncle.
All things to consider.
