Greetings
Hi, I'm new to the list. I don't have PD, but my mother does. She was diagnosed with last year after spending two years going from specialist to specialist, trying to find out why she would intermittently lose control of her left foot. When she began experiencing similar symptoms in her left hand, she was finally diagosed with PD. I've been frustrated by the lack of information about PD and the lack of initiative of my mom's (former) primary doctor. She has been virtually directing her own care and recently began taking Sinemet at her own request--with great results. I joined the list in hopes of finding out more about the disease and to keep up on any new developments. I'm also interested in hearing about the experiences of people with PD--I don't really know what to expect. My mom doesn't have e-mail access, so I plan to share what I learn with her.
