Mayor to Proclaim PD Awareness Month
New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani will proclaim October "Parkinson's Awareness Month" on Thursday, October 12th. Representatives from five national Parkinson's organizations (APDA, NPF, PDF, PI and UPF) will attend a ceremony in the 'Blue Room' of City Hall. Plans call for a letter by Muhammad Ali to be read by ABC sports commentator, Dick Schapp. The proclamation coincides with the October 15th "Parkinson's Unity Walk" in New York City's Riverside Park.
