Humor (also acronyms)
Good evening all! My husband Gene who was diagnosed in 1989, uses humor a lot. I recall telling the following incident to another spouse and was met with a rather cold reception. Therefore, please know no offense intended here at all. Last winter, the street by our home became iced and it was difficult to walk on. My husband went out to our mailbox over my objections. Upon returning, and as he was removing his jacket, he remarked: "You do know Clara... this is Parkinson weather." Perplexed...I responded, "Hmmm...why?" Upon that query, Gene started moving his feet even faster into a shuffling motion. Needless to say...I practically fell on the floor laughing. In regards to posting to this listserve, my suggestion would be to clarify at least once...the meaning of any out-of-the-ordinary acronyms used in your text. Regards to all, Clara Nistler zara@xxxxxxxx
