I don't know if AOL has resolved the AOL-Gold virus problem, but one of the
things I did during all the spamming was to turn the download attached files
options off.

If I wanted the attached file, there is an option to "download files later."
By clicking that button, the file(s) will be downloaded during the next
flashsession.  That way, I only get the files that I am interested in (which,
apart from the spamming stuff has turned out to be everything <GRIN>)
