We have received several double postings of messages most likely due to
the default setting of 'no repro' for the parkinsn list (and many other
lists).  This setting means that one does not see the posting of one's
own message...it is distributed to all the other members of the list.  To
change this unnecessarily confusing situation, send a message to the
listserver at:

                listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

                and in the body of the note, type:

                set parkinsn repro

After doing that, you will see your own message as it was posted to the
list.  I have absolutely no idea why the default is 'no repro' and have
tried (and will try again) to have it changed.
